So, gather your loved ones, get out of the house, and take in the sights and sounds of Minneapolis this weekend!

Betty Danger’s Country Club’s Rooftop Winter Wonderland Display
Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean you to have give up your seasonal spirit. At Betty Danger’s Country Club’s Rooftop Winter Wonderland Display, you can take a sleigh ride in the sky on the Ferris wheel, or sip steaming hot chocolate or cider. While temperature may be low, spirits will be high at Betty Danger’s, where adults can enjoy a variety of spiked drinks amid the restaurant rooftop’s vibrant seasonal décor. Don’t let the weather deter you this weekend; take in all the winter wonder that Minneapolis has to offer. Open Wednesday through Sunday until January 31st, 5-9PM. 2501 Marshall St. NE Minneapolis. Spirit: Made here: City Center
Enjoy the local art scene with the Made Here project, which is premiering over thirty new artistic pieces to its collection, comprised of work by more than 75 Minnesota artists. From fiber art, puppets, photography, light installations, window displays, and much, much more, Spirit: Made Here will be a visually stunning and artistically engaging assortment of Minneapolis area art scene makers. Walking tours are available at 6 and 7 PM for the extra curious, but no matter your level of artistic involvement, this is one exhibition that is not to be missed. Disco Inferno: 1970s Dystopia

We mentioned Trylon Microcinema’s January 70s sci-fest in our last events guide, but we couldn’t help ourselves and give this enjoyable curation a second nod. Especially with the cold weather out there, there’s nothing quite as relaxing as hunkering down in a dark movie theater for some cinema classics. Grab your friends and some popcorn and take in a films that range from The Invasion of the Body Snatchers to Logan’s Run to Sleeper. No matter which show you catch at January’s sci-fi fest, ticket costs won’t break the bank at just $8 a piece. Show times vary, so be sure to choose a show and buy your tickets online, here for viewings at 3258 Minnehaha Ave. in Minneapolis.
