Twin Cities Home Sales Surge
The housing market in the Twin Cities metro area last month saw the number of home sales surge as they broke a record pace. In the month of June, both pending and closed home sales reached a 10-year high. The number of home buyers drastically outnumbered that of home sellers in some of the metro area. Not only were more homes sold, but they sold faster than in previous months. The average days on market dropped to 66 last month according to the most recent data from the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.
There continues to be a shortage in the number of inventory homes for sale, and buyer demand is high.Now more than ever is the time to list your Twin Cities home for sale. There are many instances were sellers are receiving more than one offer on their home. In fact one in every four homes sold received multiple offers. Even more good news for those looking to sell their Twin Cities home, sellers on averaged received 99.6 percent of their listing price last month.
