Thank You for Shopping: The Golden Age of Minnesota Department Stores at Mill City Museum
Maybe one of your resolutions was to learn more about local history. Well, jump right in with Thank You for Shopping: The Golden Age of Minnesota Department Stores. This exhibit, on display until mid-February at the Mill City Museum, displays photography that acts as a companion piece to Kristal Leebrick’s book of the same name.The cost is free, and the exhibit is fun and appropriate for all ages. This performance, a part of the 208-2019 Music & Movement Series sponsored by Target, features Native choreographer Rosy Simas. She created this dance project as a nod to the interwoven and interdependent nature of our world—thus the title, Weave. The performance is a co-commission shared by the Ordway Center for Performing Arts and The O’Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, among other institutions.
