Your Weekend Guide for Things to do in Minneapolis: October 26-28

Ryan Platzke

Itís the last weekend before Halloween, Minneapolis!  Itís not quite time to whip out those trick-or-treating costumes, but thereís still a lot of Halloween fun to be had in our wonderful Twin Cities region.  This weekend, get out and support some local artists as they bring the spooky to the banks of the Mississippi and beyond.

Friday, October 26
Haunted Basement XII at The Haunted Basement
Minneapolis, MN

Kick off Halloween week the right way with this annual and immersive horror experience.  Not for the faint of heart, this event merges environments created by local artists and a diverse range of performance art.  Itís an interactive event, so come prepared to get hands-on with exhibitions of absurdist psychological horror.  Best of all, by attending youíll be supporting a nonprofit arts organization that provides year-round educational opportunities, group workshops, and more.  For further information including ticket prices, visit hauntedbasement.org.

Saturday, October 27
Goethe in the Skyways at City Center
Minneapolis, MN

Looking for a fun and budget-friendly option this Saturday? Come on down to the City Center and lose yourself up in Minneapolisís famous Skyway network.  Starting this month, experience this pop-up performance art series live and in person.  This series seeks to draw questions about the blurred lines between public and private, owned and shared.  For more information including a calendar of all planned exhibitions, visit their website at goetheintheskyways.org.

Sunday, October 28
