· Friday, June 24 – Itty Bitty Beach Party at Round Lake Park
Join Eden Prairie area tots and their families for the weekly Itty Bitty Beach Party, beginning at 10AM each Friday until July 29th at Round Lake Park. Perfect for kids six and under, the Itty Bitty Beach Party is not only free of charge, it combines the best in kid-friendly fun and the great outdoors. The beach and splash pad area are sure to entertain and provide a taste of summer weather that can’t be beat. So, if you’re looking to start your weekend by cooling your heels on the shoreline—while your little ones enjoy some fun in the sun—the Itty Bitty Beach Party is the place to be. · Saturday, June 25th – 5thAnnual Fire Department 5K Fun Run/Walk
With proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society, this year’s Fire Department 5K Fun/Run Walk is an excellent opportunity to join the Eden Prairie community in supporting a worthy cause. Aside from working up a sweat for charity, there’s ample opportunity to take part in activities to suit all ages, including games, raffles, a dunk tank, and tours of the Eden Prairie Fire Department’s trucks. The event costs $25 per person and will be hosted at Purgatory Creek Park Pavilion, beginning at 8AM and continuing until noon. · Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th – Eden Prairie Players Presents: Seussical
There’s nothing like taking in a live show under the stars. Join the Eden Prairie Players and the accompanying Eden Prairie Community Band for a performance of Seussical—a musical that brings to life the fantastic creations of Dr. Seuss. From the Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant, to Gertrude McFuzz and Mayzie LaBird, kick back in a lawn chair and enjoy a whimsical performance for the whole family. Hosted at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre at 7PM until 9PM, Seussical promises to be the perfect summer evening spectacle.
